As photographer I find an extraordinary challenge do take pictures of your partner. With the feelings for this person I tend to overromanticize the images I take. It is hard to take a step back and create something from the same graphical quality and uniqueness.
With STRIPE GIRL I take a radical approach to portraying my partner. With distortions inspired by Andre Kertesz' series I created a totally different aesthetic which may be rather unpleasing for portraits. But for me it is magical when two fundamentally opposite worlds merge into one.
